A fascinating little loco, with a fairly involved history. Built in the 1980s, de-cabbed in the early millenia, saved and restored to its original condition by the current owners in 2019.May yet return to Exmouth
Built for Delamont Miniature Railway in Northern Ireland. Didn't they nail the steam-outline style? Freelance steam-outliners can vary from the lumpy and chunky to the utterly horrific, but Exmoor really got this right. Like all Exmoor diesels, it has no works number, but this one should be made an honorary steam locomotive!
Exquisitely finished, but perhaps needing another inch or two of height? Enough armchair punditry. This is a rare diesel loco from Exmoor, and indeed one of the very last locomotives to come out of this famous locomotive works
