The first design of a 2-6-2 for a British railway. 1927 Poultney articulated power unit added under tender, by Yorkshire Engine Co. works number 2229. Thus becoming a 2-8-2+0-8-0, not successful, removed 07/1931, the frames of this were retained until used in 1964 for the new RIVER MITE. In storage 1939-1952. 1983 new boiler, 2013 damaged in workshop fire, restored, first resteamed 30/10/2017.
