1990's build start by Terry Turner, Long Eaton, Notts. 02/1999 rolling chassis sold to private owner at Bure Valley Rly. In 2005 ownership passed to Ray Chrome and Roger Loxley of Stainforth, W.Yorks. for completion. Steam trials took place from 25/03/2009 at the Cleethorpes Coast Lt. Rly, where it subsequently remained in service. Later on, the locomotive went to the Woodland Railway at Haigh Hall, Wigan, Lancashire, remaining there until the railway was forced to close in 2020, thereafter going into secure storage. In the summer of 2024, 6284, went out on loan to the Thorpe Light Railway, subsequently returning into secure storage. The future of the Woodland Railway has now been assured by the local council, but the locomotive may return in 2025 to Thorpe if the Woodland Railway isn't ready.
