Prototype details
Built by Chapman and Furneaux, of Gateshead, Quarry Field works, successors to Black Hawthorn and co, (taken over 1896), and predecessors of Hawthorn Leslie and Company who took them over in 1902. Built 70 locomotives during their brief existence.
